Most of those 'hacking techniques' are used in The Zero Theorem. What a strange film that was.

WarGames, wow, brings back memories, not seen it since I was a kid.
I remember at the time seeing modems on tv, where you put the phone receiver on a special pad!
I remember Weird Science was on TV a little while ago, my missus hadn't seen it, I hadn't since I was a kid, luckliy she was a John Hughes fan so enjoyed it. Funnily enough I hadn't seen Ferris Bueller's Day off, (she had) so we watched that, I guess it must have been around 2009 (so more than a little while) when John Hughes died :(
