Doc Martin New season not to be shown on Scotland STV

My sister and Brother-in-law live in Scotland and are great fans of the series like me.

I live in England so there is no problem, so I told them to watch it on ITV player on the internet, its a small screen but its better than nothing.

For all you Scottish fans, I have since noticed you can watch it on Sky, channel 993 on Sunday`s at 9PM, which is ITV London. I have now told my sister.

Sounds like STV are running a bit low on funds, do they not have advertising like all the other channels :/

PS.. Series got off with a halarious start, with the Doc still hating seeing blood, still kicking dogs, and the usual load of crazy accidents that always happen in the village.

Doc Martin is just one of the ITV programmes STV are no longer taking, including The Bill, Midsommer Murders etc.

Yes they are in DEEP financial trouble and, from what I hear from various sources, they will be the subject of a hostile takeover bid berfore the end of the year.

For Virginmedia customers you can watch on channel 853 ITV AD or get it on catch up on demand. This was a public service announcement :D

Sounds like the situation that Scotland will be in if they ever leave the Union. :)

I`m no fan of Doc Martin, but I`m guessing they`ve maybe decided it`s too English-centric to warrant spending Scottish money on.
Personally, I`d rather they sacked some of the excrutiatingly bad Glasgow-centric stuff.
Like River bloody City, for start.
Or anything featuring anything to do with those f***tards from Chewing the Fat. >:(

BBC Scotlands programme commissioning staff should be sacked. Happy Hallidays is utter scheitte. How on earth this dire dross made it past the slash and burn stage I do not know. Utter Utter scheitte.

Some plum at BBC Scotland will have signed those twits to a contract that means they`re obligated to make `something`.
I haven`t even bothered watching it, Choagy, but I`m 100% confident your critique is accurate.
I`d decided it would be as crap as you say as soon as I saw their involvement.
Sadly, there`s many a toothless tenement will cackle away at it.
Bring back the days of `Absolutely`, the last great Scottish comedy programme. :(
