Not the best, but the most useful was What Lies Beneath, because it revealed a major plot twist from two thirds into the film, thereby saving me the effort of actually seeing the film. If only more directors were so considerate.

Pitch Black`s was fabulous, the R18 trailer that is, the one with all the screaming :)

I still remember seeing the original ID4 trailer in the cinema, was breathtaking. So was the teaser for Twister. In recent years it would have to be the second The Phantom Menace, now that was really good, and I`m sure some will say better than the film itself. ;-)

I always remember the prince of darkness trailer....

and the funny thing is the film was sh*te!

I didn`t actually see it in the flicks, but one of the trailers for The Exorcist on the R2 version is pretty darned cool, for 1973 - it`s the one with the red black and white flashing pictures, without any snippets from the film.

The World is not Enough really sold the film in two minutes. I think they crammed in every action shot in the entire film.
Alien wasn`t all that bad either.

I remember getting pretty excited when I saw the Godzilla trailer. It was those kids in a museum looking at a dinosaur and them the room starts to shake and a huge foot comes through the ceiling crshing the skeleton. That was cool. And contrary to everyone else I actually quite liked the film too. *ducks*

i cant remember many old trailers but i loved the T2 one. recent ones i loved were the phantom menace and the matrix. of the new films coming out i like the mummy returns, rush hour 2, crocodile dundee 2 and lord of the rings.

speaking of trailers, can anyone tell me why the one for robocop has the music for T2 playing in the background??? (or vice versa).
