Always liked the first one as it had a sort of up beat ending for a change, by kicking alien butt 

I thought the sequel would have been about aliens still alive around the planets surface fighting to survive, would they have been taken prisoner, taken to gatamino bay, or just be exterminated?

But no the sequel is not going to be quite like that going by trailer, which by the way, looks real good. 

I don't think Will Smith is in this one as he asked for far too much money, well he can be replaced, as is the life of an actor, so no biggy.

Having watched that trailer, I'm in.
Hopefully I'll have forgotten most of what's in the trailer by the time it comes out.

Looks like a trailer for a Michael Bay transformers movie to me... Although most trailers look that way to me nowadays.

The most interesting character in the trailer for me is Pullman, and the obvious toll the mind-meld had on him. Maybe he's the reason the aliens have come back?
