The Wolfman

I can`t remember having been to see a film at the cinema that I`ve felt like walking out of...but The Wolfman is one that I was very tempted to do just that.

The script in my opinion, was terrible, the acting (for both Del Toro & Hopkins) was awful and the plotline too predictable (but that was kind of expected). Would have liked to have had more of Art Malik`s character ("Singh") as well.

The one redeeming feature for me was Emily Blunt, but even she wasn`t given much to work with.

This was one of the 1st quarter releases that I was most looking forward to so was extremely disappointed by the film. Horrible script, acting, direction and creature effects by Rick Baker. The final reel was terrible and I sincerely hope that they don`t go through with the sequel that was set up at the end.

The make-up and practical effects work (not the CGI) were great, Anthony Hopkins added some class ham which the material really didn`t deserve, it was a lot more graphic than expected and Emily Blunt always looks lovely.

Everything else was pretty bad though, sadly. Not a total disaster but no classic by any stretch.

I`d be inclined to disagree with that.

Of the movies I`ve seen relatively recently at the cinema..
Avatar was pretty good, really enjoyed Sherlock Holmes...and also enjoyed The Book Of Eli.
Daybreakers - not so great...but watchable IMO.
