REALLY!?

It comes with AAA batteries? Those are the really small ones, dont think I have ever seen a charger that comes with those. Usually the AA batteries.

Ill be going netto tomorrow ;)

From my experience all AA rechargers also work on AAA rechargeable batteries and these are very widely available

Oh wait, i think im getting myself confused here :/

What I meant was I don`t think I have ever seen a battery charger that comes with AAA batteries. All the ones I have seen come with the slightly larger AA batteries.

Also, is this battery charger for those Nickle Metal Hydride batteries? (NiMH).

Yes the batteries are NiMh and the charger does both NiCad and NiMh.

OK, i picked up one of these chargers from Netto today. Seems very good quality, havent tried it yet though.

One thing i noticed is that the charger does not have a sensor to detect when the batteries are charged and just keeps going for a set time. 9 hours to charge the batteries that come with it.

Thanks OP

so it`s not a "fast" charger then ?

Never mind, it`ll all come out in the wash.

OK, for the people that want it, this charger is the "UNiROSS X-Press 300 Compact Charger". It features the ablility to charge Ni-Cd (Nickle Cadnium) and Ni-MH (Nickle Metal Hydride) batteries. Sizes AA, AAA and 9V (square thingys).

Here is a link to the very same charger selling for 14.99. The only difference is this one comes with 4 AA batteries instead of 4 AAA batteries:

http://www.focusdiy.co.uk/invt/24542

The charging times are as follows:

AA 800mAh Ni-Cd 3 Hours
AA 1300mAh Ni-MH 5 Hours 20 Minutes
AA 2100mAh Ni-MH 8 Hours
AA 2300mAh Ni-MH 9 Hours
AA 250mAh Ni-Cd 2 Hours 20 Minutes
AA 700mAh Ni-MH 7 Hours 20 Minutes
AA 900mAh Ni-MH 9 Hours
9V 170mAh Ni-MH 11 Hours

I guess not, these times dont seem like lightening to me. I have one of the older UNiROSS Ni-MH chargers and it can charge 2100mAh batteries in about 2-3 hours and it has a sensor that actually detects when they are charged. Decent charger for the money though and definately good enough for charging the batteries for my sisters mp3 player which only uses one AAA battery at once so no need for fast charge.
