trueplayerY2K (Harmless) posted this on Friday, 7th May 2004, 10:59

I`m going to New York in two weeks and need to hire a Medium/Intermediate size car for a week. I want to spend around £200, under that if possible.

The price must include unlimited mileage, loss damage waiver, liability insurance, handling fees, local taxes, airport fees

Dates: Friday 28th May at 10am - Friday 4th June at 10am.

Pick up & drop off point: JFK Airport

Drivers Age: 31

Many Thanks

Don`t know if they do New York, but just booked similar length trip in Canada for £170 with Alamo.com - worth a look

I used Avis when I went to New York last year, but unless you are going to be driving out of New York I wouldnt recomend getting a hire car as the car park fees are expensive and driving in New York is mayhem.

Just came back from California and used www.usrentacar.co.uk 2 weeks all inclusive for £358 have looked on site but New York is a bit more expensive as they only deal with Dollar out of JFK ( Alamo normally cheapest) Quoted price if you cant find cheaper is £251 for a 2door intermediate ( all the years ive been renting a 2 door intermediatte ive never not had a free upgrade to a 4 door if they ask if you want a 4 door just say No and they give you one anyway)

Have a great trip
