Help me and my wireless network

I`ve recently obtained a new laptop and wireless internet connection, i`m wondering how i make it as secure as possible?

If my desktop PC is connected to my Wireless Router (But not wirelessly) is it at risk?

Also can i use a mouse with my laptop or do i have to use the built in pad?

Cd-Wow are usually pretty poor on pre-releases, i had Batman Begins despatched by them yesterday morning , but due to previous experience i had also placed an order with Play for the same item, and it was also dispatched yesterday!

I currently have pre-orders with CD-Wow for the special editions of the previous Batman films, and it looks like their going to be delayed by a week or so. Having said that last friday at 7.35pm i placed an order for an item thay already had in stock and i got it the folowing Monday

sadly i must agree.

not once, not twice but three times times now with pre-releases i have had e-mails informing me of order delays. in one case i had to wait an extra 2 weeks. i have neer had this problem with any other e-tailer

they may be among the cheapest out there but if this continues i`m afraid i`ll be looking elsewhere

yeah, my sotd was delayed, as was my clerks: se , blazing saddles :se and starsky and hutch. Also, jersey girl and spaced were not dispatched until day of release.

it`s only their prices that keep me going to cd-wow, play may cost a few quid more but you do get it quicker

just how safe is ebay?

i`ve been thinking about setting up a sellers account with ebay for a while now, but the ask for a credit/debit card AND your bank details which puts me off.

just how safe are they? anyone ever had their account details stolen from `em?

I just got a e-mail telling me that my clerks 10th anniv. special is delayed until next week, as well as my sotd being delayed till this week-end.

i don`t have a prog scan compatable tv so that`s not an issue, not overly worried about dvd-a or sacd either just the picture

Well well, almost 3 months after my last order from DVD pacific i`ve only just (Friday) been hit with a charge of £20.02 from Diage.

I thought i`d gotten away with it, but no. Have contacted my card company and am awaiting a response. I only recently received DVDPacific`s e-mail asking me to change my login details, i wonder if that had anything to do with it?

i think it`s just a regular coax

but i have used optical too with the same result

my amp seems to cut sound out for a second whilst watching dvd. i can rewind it back and it will play the same part no problem then cut out again shortly after.

it`s been like this since i bought it, i originally thought the fault lied with my player but i recently bought a new one and the problem remains, any thoughts?

how can i tell if my tv can accept progressive scan?

Chipped player problem

My current player is a chipped sharp that is around 3yrs old, ever since it`s been chipped it has problems with some soundtracks (i.e. the sound cuts out occassionally). i was hoping to buy a new player, but i wondered if all chipped players have these problems, or only a select few? Pioneer players esp.
