Glad you were able to confirm the problem was with the card, could you do a post after Scan have had your card to see how they dealt with the problem :)

I`ve just looked on the net and there does seem to be a problem with lockups and artifacting on 7900gt and gtx cards was yours an overclocked version, here`s one link

Do you get this problem on other games and applicatons or is it just UT2004 and video playback? If your getting sparklys on the picture sounds to me like the card could be the problem,

Don`t know if you got the HD add on box for the 360 but the US version of children of men is suppose to have playback issues according to High-Def Digest, great film though
