RE: 20Gb MP3 Player £59.97

Sounds good to me, cheers!

RE: Free Theme Park Tickets (Tussauds) with The Express

I won thanks to this thread too, many thanks Tom!

I`d already been planning to go with friends, and we shall be this Wednesday. I`m mildly concerned though, that since I don`t have a driving license they may be spiteful with my ID; I have a passport and I could even take a bank statement to be sure, but what if they say it`s not good enough because it`s not photo ID with my address on it? Hopefully I`m just being paranoid...

RE: Silver Screen bargains

I was guessing it was something to do with Sceen Select- I always used to annoy the hell out of my old housmate who worked for Silver Screen by calling it Screen Select!

Still no real good deals at Silver Screen. If they won`t even match the price of the best DVD stores in the country during a closing down sale, they deserve to go bust, most definitely.

RE: Silver Screen bargains

Yow, didn`t know that. I`m going to an old town I used to live in tomorrow, where a friend works as a security guard in one of their shops. I`ll have to see if they`re still around and whether he`s out of a job yet!!

RE: DVD/Games rental free trials - 5 months of free renting!

Hmm, you don`t need to "activate" your list with Screen Select do you? I remember I had a Blockbuster trial a year or so ago, put all this stuff on, wondered why I hadn`t received anything a week later, then noticed they weren`t activated. What a stupid hurdle to have to jump*

RE: Free Gillette razor.....

"In what way is it a `cheapo version`? just because its not in retail packaging? fair enough you dont get the holder thingie but its an £8 razor for free..."

No, it`s the cheapo version because they were sending out two razors, one being a nice ~£8 razor, and the other being type I got, which is worth a fraction of that. I thought what I meant by "cheapo" was obvious from the context of the post, but I guess not...

RE: Free Gillette razor.....

Arr, got mine the other day and it too was the cheapo version. I guess I can`t really turn my nose up at something that was free though!

RE: Firefly £12.97 Amazon

Serenity isn`t out until the end of the month though :/

RE: free Virgin Mobile SIM with £5 free airtime - apply before 11.59pm on 03/02/06

Feels kinda wrong to order another two before the last two freebies arrived, but never mind.

RE: Sony KV28HX15 28in Flat Widescreen £199.00 Argos

I got a good deal with homecinematv.co.uk, £200 + 20 delivery for a 28" flat widescreen with a stand. That deal`s not on any more though, and the deliverymen were incompetent first time they tried to deliver. I was originally going to go for a £270 one that I saw with Freeview built in, from one of the usual high street names but I`m so so so glad I didn`t as I can`t actually get Freeview at my place (Despite the stinkin` Freeview site telling me I can).

RE: Timesplitters: Future Perfect £4.96 Plus more @PLAY.COM

They got some good deals going on! I just bought myself Peep Show series 2 for £8...

RE: Phone Contracts - No Bargain here, looking for one.

Well I have used my credit card and debit card and had direct debits, and I`ve missed a grand total of one payment in all my time! But maybe that`s why I was declined, I`m too reliable and I`ll get all my cashback requests in on time so they won`t make any money out of me! I used your site to order another phone, Reestit, they charged £1.99 for my credit check so I hope that this one works for me (Though I`ve not heard anything at all from the site, themobileoutlet since making the order a couple of days ago... it`s not looking good. Add this to the TV that another online retailer failed to deliver to me yesterday as promised and I`m not having a very good week for buying electr(on)ic items online!)

RE: Sainsburys - xmas cake - clearance (Warren St)

Ooh, I hope they`re still there when I head to uni (UCL) tomorrow...

RE: Phone Contracts - No Bargain here, looking for one.

I tried to buy a phone from phones2udirect, a pretty good phone with enough minutes and texts to keep me going, and all 12 months` rental given back to you in cashback! Too good to be true, I though, so I ordered it, and the next morning found that O2 had decided to decline my request. I was rather annoyed, to say the least. I did e-mail and then call the P2UD, who were marginally helpful but only in telling me that I couldn`t have the phone and 02 can`t tell us why. I`ll try and get their deal on my dad`s name and account this weekend...

RE: ntl - 1m broadband for existing customers -

I guess there`s bugger-all that I, a customer of about 4 months can do to get a cheaper/ faster service? £18 for a megabyte, no special deals either when I signed up... bah!

Phone + £35 Credit for... £30

Just found a nice little deal at Carphone Warehouse... you can buy a no-frills Motorola C115 for £30, it comes with a Virgin SIM with £5 credit on it, and then when you`ve bought another £30 of credit (Doesn`t have to be for the Virgin SIM that comes with it!), you can claim the first £30 back via chequeback.

So in the end you pay £60, get £30 back, and get a phone, and £35 credit. If you could use a spare phone and use more than £30 of credit every two months, you have nothing to lose!

RE: Canon PowerShot A510 for £129.95 Inc P&P

Thanks for the good advice guys. I think I`m going to buy the Canon one mentioned here, unless anyone ahs any better suggestions :)

RE: Angel Complete Season 5 £34.97-Amazon

Ahhh I`m SO tempted! It`s my birthday today, someone buy it me!

RE: Canon PowerShot A510 for £129.95 Inc P&P

I saw a digitial camera for sale in Superdrug today... now normally a camera in a pharmacy wouldn`t interest me for obvious reasons- but it was reduced to £70, and the spec sounds as good as this one. It`s by a company called Concord if anyone knows what I`m talking about... I`m very tempted to buy it me, but would a camera like this Canon one be better suited?

RE: Roswell, Dark Angel, Millennium, Firefly, Dune Box Sets £15

Well I bought Firefly for the same price as standard from play.com last week, although you can get it for £13 elsewhere (check kelkoo), but you have to pay P & P. Good general offer though!
