Got one of these last week. Great bit of kit, but stopped working after 24 hours. Turn off and back on and it`s fine, but who wants that. Mine supplied with the infamous 3 amp power supply. Have sent it back and a replacement on the way. Hope I get the 5 amp which seems much better, according to reviews. Speaking of which, pretty rotten of Micro Direct to only publish the good ones - what`s the point of that?

Haier 7" Portable DVD Player

If you`re umming and aahing about which portable DVD player to buy to keep the kids quiet over half term, then this might be of interest. Ebuyer.com have knocked a further £5 off the Haier (QuickFind: 89679.) now £69.99 inc VAT. Gets good write-ups too. This weekend only, it would appear. Only snag is that it doesn`t come with a case but the rest of the spec. looks good.

Any one out there know a hack for this machine recently purchased from Comet? I assumed it was a Venturer but was sooooo wrong.....

It`s a Venturer. Comes with case and all the bits. Audio/video inputs. Battery life quoted as two hours.Anyone know if these are any good? I picked one up one but not sure if I should hold on to it or not.

I don`t know if it`s a rip off or not but I got a bundle for £150 from the Dixons website on Friday 3/12. Later they were out of stock but at 4.20 on 4/12 they were showing as back in. Good luck!
