as the heading says does the decca 5100 convert NTSC to PAL 50 ?

S-VCD & VCD on Naiko?

can the Naiko 2001B play S-VCD & VCD discs there is no mention of it on any of the packaging or on the player itself.

My brother in law has the DeccaVideo 2001B ( of which the Naiko is a clone ) but that clearly states BOTH S-VCD &VCD as playable .

Anyone got one that can verify the Naiko plays them too.

Macro free player?

Hello

I need help . Any ideas of which dvd player i could buy .? I need MACRO disabled as a priority as my old tv hasnt a scart socket.

Any suggestions gratefully recieved ( needs to be a great little machine though )

Don`t know of a specific release date but it has just been passed by the BBFC and it is DEFINATELY a DVD release that has been passed because there are DVD extras been passed too so hopefully not too long into 2002.

sound great i`ll be buying them , only drawback is that iv`e heard rumours that the remaining series will only be released if the first is successful. Don`t know how many it has to sell to be deemed as successful but here`s hoping

"The Directors Cut " is "The Version You`ve Never Seen", which if you have seen the excellent documentary on the 25th anniversary issue you will know that the director NEVER wanted these bits in in the 1st place it was the writer William peter blatty that did. Tis new version has been cobbled together by the distributers is also includes "CUTS" i.e. bits taken out of the original altogether and new bits added. to see the full list of different versions of this film go to www.dvdfile.com/software/cut_list/exorcist.htm hope this explains everything

RE: Hack for Samsung SV-DVD1E

first make sure the dvd-button is set to dvd on the player.

then press "FF" and PAUSE/PLAY button on the dvd, which will give you a choice of language press 1 for english.

wait 5 seconds press Setup then repeat ( bottom right hand button with a-b on it ).
Then enter 387679 press Open on front of DVD. then power off, power on with remote standby button.

If you have a Poundland near you they sell 5 cases for £1 3 black and 2 white also try Pound streacher they sell the black ones and also iv`e seen the clear translucent ones there too , i think they are 5 for £2.99 or something like that.

after all the fuss about getting the region hack what has happened to all the Wharfedale M5 owners?

Whats the score with the machine ? is it any good? are there any problems with the known discs i.e. toy story disc 3, gladiator disc 2 jaws , matrix etc etc.?

is the machine any quieter than the 750 / 750s? lastly ( thank god i hear you say ) are there any artifacts or blockyness on the picture.?

try www.upgradeheaven.co.uk they do the mod for the pioneer without removingthe cover ond macrovision is completely disabled . it also enables RCE discs to play without problems

i am interested in the new pioneer 340 but have been reliably informed that there is no RGB output from any of the connections including the scart socket. is this a feature that i really need will the picture be considerably better with RGB? will the picture be acceptable without it ( i am a bit of a perfectionist when it comes to films )

Cyberhome "hack" no good

bad news for Cyberhome AD- N- 212 &AD-M-512 owners. The hack on ALL newer editions of these models have had the facility to change the region code and also macro disable removed from the firmware. it is still possible to get onto the "hidden pages" but there is no way to change region or disable macro anymore. ( not till some one comes up with a chip that is )
