RE: Avious recordable DVD player £39.99 - Superdrug

Not a mischief maker! I can scan you in the reciept if you like lol. Perhaps it was just ex display or something?

Incidentally though, A woman who works with me that bought one too took hers back yesterday for some reason and I`ve had a few problems (although not really enough to warrant taking it back for that price.

Avious recordable DVD player £39.99 - Superdrug

Hi all, the title says it all. I just went into Superdrugs and saw the Avious recordable dvd player (model DRW--1029) for £39.99 so picked it up

Thought it`d be rude not to.

RE: 40Gb mp3 player for under £100

I bought one of these. It`s big and not pretty, but it`s super cheap and I`ve so far had no problems with it. The battery lasts ages, youo don`t need any software for WinXP and it`s USB 2.0 compatible too.

I picked up the 3 year insurance just in case, it was only about £15

RE: Free Hubble DVD - 40,000 copies only - offer ends 20 May

Got mine to, nice. Thanks to the original poster.

Blockbuster sale

Went into Blockbuster last night, they had some pretty cheap stuff in their new sale. I can`t remember most of it, but they had a load of movies for £3.97 and Superman II and Blue Velvet were only £1.97 each

RE: TGI Friday - 2 for 1 (Main Meal)

Me too please if possible: cnalbc[at]moc.liamtoh

RE: Cheap Gamecube games at Woolworths?

Just went back there, and they had repriced everything, so I managed to pick up Billy Hatcher and F-Zero DX for £4.99 each. they weren`t even there yesterday so I guess a lot of stores will be the same. Worth checking even now.

RE: Cheap Gamecube games at Woolworths?

I saw a Soul Caliber 2 for the GC in my local Woolies today, it had a sale ticket on it for 19.99 I took it up to the counter and it scanned in at £4.99, nice spot, thanks

RE: Merry Christmas to all the bargain posters...

Yeah, thanks to everyone for all the great bargains this year.

Merry Xmas

Motorola C975 £29.99

I see the carphone Warehouse are doing the Motorola C975 for £29.99 when bought with £15 airtime. Is this one of the phones that I could use with my Virgin sim card or not?

Thanks in advance

RE: Blockbuster sale

As long as you keep your receipt you`ll be fine. Blockbuster has a year long guarentee on all pre owned stuff

RE: ROTK EE £19.99 at Morrisons (plus free Talking Golem)

I was checking to see where my nearest store was on their store finder, and it came up with my local safeways, do they have the same deal do you know?

CD-Rs and DVD+Rs buy one get one free at Tescos

I was just in my local Tescos (Gravesend), and they are doing 25 CD-Rs at £6.47 and 10 DVD+Rs for £6.99, both are buy one get one free.

RE: Blockbusters 5 for £30 back on!

I believe it is 3 for £20 as well. Also worth noting is that all ex rentals under £6 are buy on get one free. I picked up some bargains at that price too.

RE: Free Digital Camera + free p&p

I gave it a go, thanks

RE: CPW NOKIA 7600

Appeared as an error on the website? They still have it up on the wall in the shop here in gravesend lol. A bunch of monkeys could run the place better

RE: Dawn of the Dead (Original) for under a fiver

There are lots of versions around, but they tend to fall into 1 of 4 categories.

(1) The "European version". A Dario Argento cut that usually clocks in at about 118 mins

(2) The "US Theatrical release". This is around 127 mins, the unrated directors cut that apparently is Romero`s favourite version. This is the version Asda are doing for £4.98

(3) The "Extended Version". Clocking in around 139 mins, this was the version shown at Cannes in 1978.

(4) The "Red edition". This is a german cut that clocks in at a massive 156 mins. As far as I know, even though it is available on dvd, it`s anly language is German, and it has no subtitles, so one for completists only in my book. I see it on ebay every now and again.

Personally, I already had a dvd of the extended version that I bought from HMV in a sale about a year ago, but I bought this one from asda anyway as it was cheap and I wanted the different commentary and documentary.

hope this helps some

RE: CPW NOKIA 7600 back again

Yes it is, I just had a look

RE: 20 gb Ipod for £129.99

Does Amazon not have any kind of control over who uses their site to sell their goods? This place indeed sounds super dodgy, and if so needs to be shut down.

20 gb Ipod for £129.99

Sorry if this place has been mentioned before, but whilst looking at Ipods on amazon, in the new and used section they had this place http://www.weshopuk.co.uk/mp3.htm which appears to be selling all kinds of stuff on the cheap. It sounds a bit dodgy to me. Does anyone know anything about them?

Thanks in advance

RE: ** Help! ** Pacific PHC203 Hack Code required!

Thanks for the advice, but I`ve tried this, and all I get is a little hand. Any other advice please?

Pacific PCH203

Hi all.

Asda are doing a Pacific dvd player (PCH203) with 5.1 surround and all the speakers for £69.99

My question is this: Will this machine play DVD -R`s?

I want a new dvd player for my bedroom and thought I`d get one with the surround sound speakers, but as a lot of my dvd`s are copies now I don`t want to get a player that wont play them.

Incidently, the Pacific dvd player that I bought my dad for his birthday 2 years ago plays DVD-Rs fine

Thanks for any help

RE: WHSmiths Buy One DVD Get One Free

Is this just in store? As the web site has those films all up at about £14.99 -£19.99 in the buy one get one free section

RE: Paramount 90th Anniversary DVD Boxset Bargain !!

Shame about the films really. Not that I have anything particularly against any of them, but a 90th Anniversary collection, and the oldest film is only about 20 years old!

this is the studio that put out Shane, Vertigo, Sunset Boulevard, The Godfather, Rear Window, It`s a Wonderful Life, Psycho, Duck Soup, Chinatown and loads more, and those are the best films they could come up with for a box set?

OK, sorry, my rant is over lol

RE: LOTR. THE RETURN OF THE KING 4 DISC SET CHEAP!!!!

There is a statue in the deluxe box set, not just the EE.

Also, according to this months Empire magazine, ROTK:EE clocks in at a few mins under 5 hours, giving us almost 2 hours extra, not 50 mins

RE: The Cheapest Star Wars on the High Street thread

Tesco`s web site has it at £24.99, although I don`t know if it means that it will be the store price as well

how about free gifts? do we know who`s giving away what? I know woolworths are giving away 5 top trumps cards if you reserve a copy

I also hear that HMV in London (Oxford st I think) are opening at midnight and selling an exclusive gold box set with the dvd`s and 6 cd`s of the music for £49.98 and I believe Anthony Daniels is gonna be there as well. They are doing the normal box set (still a gold box though) for £29.99

RE: The Cheapest Star Wars on the High Street thread

Woolworths have a sign saying it will be £29.99 too. I wonder how much it`ll be at the supermarkets

RE: The Sun- More Free DVD`s

Do you know what the free dvds are?

RE: Binatone DECT phone twin pack £13.90

Picked mine up from Gravesend this morning, ended up with the E3300`s as well, nice
