RE: Verbatim DVD-R&+R £12.99 for 50 BOGOF - INSTORE

These were marked up at £12.99 in my local staples but scanned at £8.99 and BOGOF

RE: Samsung SM940MW 19in Wide LCD TV ... HD Ready for £300 (Down from £450) .... Any good?

I`ve got one of these but I mainly use it as a monitor with PIP for TV.

They are the same price at pcworld - just search for 940MW

Some discussion on it here too.

RE: Tatung Elio 20gb colour mp3 player £100

Just went back to ebay to see how many are left and the item has been withdrawn.

Still available via Morgan Computers though

RE: Tatung Elio 20gb colour mp3 player £100

RE: USB on-the-go
My Elio arrived today and i`ve had a bit of a play.
You get a lead with a USB-mini plug on one end (connects to the elio) and a USB (normal) socket on the other (plug in your camera lead).
I have a Fuji Finepix S5000 camera and it transferred the images v. quickly with no problems at all.

Tatung Elio 20gb colour mp3 player £100

Not sure how good this is but the reviews at morgan look pretty good (morgan want £117.49 + £8.81 delivery).

Buy direct from Tatung (who appear to be selling them via ebay) for £100 + £6.35 p&p.

Link to tatung site with link to ebay item

Ordered two - will post a review when i get them

RE: Cheap Bush 28

Was in Sainsbury`s (Harlow, Essex) last night and they`ve still got 4 or 5 of these at the offer price. If anyone is still interested it might be worth trying stores local to you.

Steve

RE: The Aviator - £13.99 INC And shipping now! 10 days before the official R1 release

Mine arrived today.

Bit disappointed as despite the fact it is a 2-disc edition there is no booklet (r1 canada version) included.

Or is that just my copy?

Steve

RE: Free calls with BT communicator

Thanks to OP.

I signed up for this too and got the headset.

My understanding is that after the 3 months it reverts to standard call charges (BT together or whatever it`s called).

I think i`ll give skype a try at that point

Cheers
Steve

RE: M&S bottle of bubbly in Ice bucket was£33.50 now £18.50 including delivery

Thanks to OP looks like a good deal!

superstar,

Where is the option to opt for delivery on Sat.?
All I get is the £3.50 4 to 7 working days option.

Cheers

Anyone got their copy from dvdsoon?

Mine shows as "In Transit" which I guess means in transit to DVD Soon?

Steve

RE: Lidl - Portable Satellite Receiver £ 69.99 Mon 23/5

Bear in mind this receiver won`t get you ITV/C4 as these are "free-to-view" and require a Sky card / receiver.

Steve

RE: Hitachi DVD & VHS Combo [DV-PF4E(UK)] £41.99@Bigpockets

It`s a refurb but it does have 12 months manufacturers warranty.

Steve

RE: 20

I guess you could describe the sound as a "little tinny" but it`s quite a saving over the bush/beko.

Steve

RE: 20

The mikomi looks identical to the Bush LCD17TV002 (although the Bush has twin scarts) which I bought from Sainsbury`s in Jan for £360 - If it is then at £249.99 it is a bargain.

Steve

RE: Region Hack for Technosonic DVDR 2018

Nope - couldn`t find a hack so it went back.

The Boots tech support folk also search dvd reviewer for hacks!

Apparantly Technosonic are not generally forthcoming with hacks

Cheers

RE: Colour screen cordless phone with SIM card reader for under £40!!!

BT Shop have reduced the twin version to £64.99 but the 10% off code doesn`t work with this item.

Steve

RE: Panasonic DVD-LS50 portable DVD player

As per my original posting I got mine at Harlow, Essex.

They are out of stock now and given it was clearance I doubt they`ll be getting any more in.

Mine was brand new i.e. not refurb.

RE: Panasonic DVD-LS50 portable DVD player

Re: laptop vs. tablet style, the dvd-ls50 player has a screen that is "double-hinged" and hence can be used laptop style or tablet style.

Steve

Panasonic DVD-LS50 portable DVD player

My local Sainsbury`s (Harlow) have these as a clearance line reduced from £269.99 to £134.99 - not a bad price for a major brand unit - not sure if this is available nationally. This player is £199.99 at Richer Sounds. It can be made multi-region by means of a "Service Remote" - this company seem to "loan" these at a reasonable price (£19.99): http://www.multidvd.co.uk

Interflora voucher code

Still haven`t sorted flowers for mother`s day?
A lot of on-line retailers have stopped taking orders but not interflora although they have been suffering website downtime problems to the extent that they have offered a £5 discount for those who suffered website outages - the code to use is "mother5".

Enjoy!

Steve

RE: Region Hack for Technosonic DVDR 2018

Hi Simon,

Just bought a DVDR2018 - any joy with that region hack?

Cheers
Steve

RE: Aldi.........Tevion wireless video/audio sender

Eurorunner - see maplin product QM52G, combine this with a SVHS male to male cable (these are supplied free with a lot of a/v kit) and you`re in business

Steve

RE: Anti-Bargain! CD-WOW cracking down on multiple discounts!

Yep - they cancelled an order where I had used one of the Lloyds/TSB vouchers and a link back in late May. That having been said it was a bit cheeky - £2.99 for Aliens (2-disc - director`s cut) - perhaps they just sample a few of the very low price ones - I managed to get a Bug`s Life for £2.99 and a couple more Disney titles!!

Steve

Humax DRP-560 (DVD+RW recorder) £99.99

£99.99 in store at the QVC Outlet Shop, The Darwin Centre, Shrewsbury.

Review here:

http://www.homecinemachoice.com/cgi-bin/displayreview.php?reviewid=4441

These tend to be customer returns / end-of-line stock, 1 month money back, 12 months guarantee.
Doesn`t record RGB but does have an iLink port for all those DV camcorder owners!
