Page 1 of DVDSoon credit card checks...

Anyone else have to fax there card statement to them as a one-off to prevent fraudulent use of your card? What is the point when they have taken the amount off the credit card already???? They could of told me sooner...

Anyone else have this trouble?

Hasn`t happpened to me although they do ask to you to provide contact details of your credit card company when you change to a different card so they can check. I think its quite good of them actually, stops the evil credit card thieves. >:( :)

Haven`t had this happen to me, but apparently Wayahead also do this.

Never fax your card details to anyone. It is probably a scam.

It`s certainly not a scam and I`d be very wary of saying that. I have used several credit cards with DVDSoon and all have had to be verified in one way or another (`phone/fax). As stated earlier - I`d rather they were too careful than lax.

I`ve had to post a credit card statement to Ticketmaster before - this could be because your billing address for the card and delivery address is different. Thats my only experience of this and the only reason I can think of. Can`t speak of DVDSoons policies.

I`ve had to verify my CC info on a couple of occasions with DVD Soon and it`s not a scam as someone else mentioned. I`d rather a company be vigilant and check my info with me.

When we need to assertain your identity, we will send you an e-mail stating why we need your credit card confirmation and you will be asked you to send it by FAX (much more secure than talking to someone and especially more secure than e-mail).
