Hewlard Packard - Customer services

niteowl (Elite) posted this on Thursday, 15th November 2007, 18:38

Anyone out there know how to get hold of them via phone or any support forums?

When I try their support UK web pages, I get redirected to USA and says page can`t be found or something like that. No good asking the shop I got the paper from they`re hopless.

I just wand to know why I`m getting such poor quality prints with some original HP Colour laser Glossy photo paper, that is supposed to be brilliant on the HP laser printer I`m using and recommended for it.

Cheers

Have a look at saynoto0870.co.uk they list several numbers.

Including 01344 360000 - "Switchboard - ask for Technical Support for PCs, Printers, Scanners, etc"

Thanks bytemaster. Spoke to HP techincal support, eventually found someone sensible to talk to.

They were not aware of any problems and suggested I just send it back to the retailer (not much help really - cause the packaging does state it`s fit for HP lazer printers, so why would they want to refund my money?).

I asked if HP had sample packs - simple answer - NO, we don`t do that sort of thing. They suggested I get some other paper instead different code (spend even more money >:( , but I`d didn`t have much faith in it being any better.

Oh they did say, they`d recommend inkjet instead of Laser for the best quality photo printing.

Thanks for info anyway.

I think a 6 colour inkjet is always going to be better for photo`s. Colour laser is OK, but it`s more for brochures and worky stuff.

As for sample packs, they do them sometimes. I have seen them handed out at electronics shows. HP usually have big stands at Mac Expo (in Olympia, but that`s just gone) and at Focus On Imaging (at the NEC in February I think). Although Focus On Imaging will be all inkjet and designjet (poster printers) so I doubt they`ll have any lasers there.
