Virgin Mobile Signal

Currently on O2 and thinking of going over to Virgin, as its time to change the contract. Was curious as to how good/bad network coverage is on Virgin? Anyone have any experience around the Ashford, Kent area? Cheers :)

No idea as to signal in Ashford or Kent, but Virgin use the T-mobile network, so if you have any experience of T-mobile that will be the same,
I have used the T-mobile postcode signal checker and in a couple of areas where the checker gave 100%, if I go into a house, I loose the signal completely, so not really helpful :(

Have you tried switching it on........?

dont know if this of any help,

i used the virgin network in the Yorkshire area for a while, not impressed with it and switched over to O2, has been a lot more reliable.
Cant fault the virgin customer service tho, second to none, where as O2 is c**p.
The PAYG tariff with O2 in the long term is better, there dont seem to be many people i know on virgin, which makes their tariff pointless

I use TalkTalk Mobile via T-mobiles network (Virgin use T-mobils network as well I believe). I have not had any problems, and in fact found the signal to be better than o2 in Kent. From being on the train (and yes, I go through ashford a couple of times a month) the network is fine.

If you look on the tmobile web site, there is a section that has the signal quality for a postcode, and a graphical guide to the area.

From my personal experance, orange / Tmobile have better networks that O2 or Vodaphone in the Kent area. I cannot comment on 3 as I have not used them.

Regards,

Chris

Been on Virgin for about 5 years and the customer service is excellent.

The only annoyance is when I`m on a Virgin train - can never get a signal! Wife on diff network and her pal on another and yet they could get a full signal.
