Ok right I might be gettting a handheld Lcd tv, It has an A/V input, does this mena that i could watch my dvd player ,vcr etc on it. how would i do it, would i need some sort of scart/composite adapter, or would it accept a coaxacial cable modifies to fit?

It depends on the model, of course, but generally speaking the A/V input will probably be in the form of a 3.5mm headphone type jack. You can buy coaxial to headphone "Y-cables" which ought to be suitable for hooking up your DVD player to it.
