When playing audio CD`s on my SC2000 it sometimes just stops playing.

I`m really happy with this player.

The only problem I`ve had it that, sometimes, when I play audio Cd`s, it will just stop playing. I`ve not noticed any pattern to this happening.

Anyone have any ideas on what causes this?

When did you get the player - what firmware version does it have?

I had this problem with my first player, bought in August, and its replacement (firmware 1.91). It was replaced with another in january and I put firmware 2.04 on it. I`ve not had the problem since.

If its a late enough model try upgrading to 2.23

I bought my SC2000 back in September/October 2000. I think it`s got a firmware version of 1.50. According to the FAQ firmware version 1.64+ are updateable.

I don`t think Scan would update my SC2000, somehow?

Trust my luck!

They replaced my first machine because of this problem.

It *is* a fault after all.

Yes, I think it was a hardware fault on these machines (which have the older decoder and stuff) - that`s what they told me and thats why I got mine replaced - You should try and get a replacement - the thing is still under guarantee after all, and it`s not doing its job.

Post a few here directly to Nelly (Nilesh Raja) if you cannot get satisfaction by phoning Scan support. Also email yllen[at]ku.oc.nacs and try and arrange it.
