Lecson 900 is it noisy

Ewan Mackie (Harmless) posted this on Saturday, 30th December 2000, 20:38

Hi all
I have had a Lecson 900 since the last week of November. Recently I have noticed that the player emits a high pitched sound as certain discs are played (DVDs not CDs). Sometimes this sound gets quieter once the layer has changed sometimes it gets louder.

This is my first player and so I really would like to know - is this normal behaviour ? If it is not will see about getting the player replaced.

thanks

Ewan

Well, mine "clicks" a fair bit - seems to vary depending on the disc and seems louder at beginning of discs (psychological??) - but I wouldn`t call it high pitched....

Mine makes a bit of noise when it loads discs (the Wharfedale legacy), but nothing noticeable otherwise. I suggest you take it back and exchange it.
