Page 1 of philips 711 disable macrovision / hack?

i have a philips 711...

ideally i would love to accomplish two things:

1. disable macrovision to allow copying of dvd to vhs

2. hack the player to play dvd from all regions

does anyone have suggestions as the best way to go about these?

i checked out dvdkits for the region solution...has anyone used them?

Not going to be much help, I`m afraid, but one time I stumbled on a web page all about hacks to Philips DVDs. Done by a Dutch guy (what else!) but there is an English language version. What I don`t know is the URL - I didn`t think to Bookmark it as Philips DVDs are not my bag. However, it`s out there somewhere, so try using your search machines and looking carefully through all the previous Philips threads on this site, both in the hardware forum and the others.

These threads are stuffed with info about Philips hacks....

Just type Philips in the search box on top of the forum and you`ll get what you`re looking for..

About the macro disabled thing... there`s no remote hack for it..
