OK, so if you`re reading this I assume you want a hack for the Goodmans DVD3500PK!!!! We`ve all tried to get the hack with no results, so I suggest we all throw our ideas and ino into this thread and see what we can come up with!

Thanks in advance for your help.

Ok, when u open the tray, you can type 3 digits in and a 4th to say ok. The speakers pop when you press enter when doing this also. Could this be the way???

I think the hack starts with the drawer open.

The Grundig 620HT is an extremely similar model

DVD3500PK is only sold by Comet, makes me think that the player is made by a third company, probably Korean, I`m going to open mine up to see if I can find who.
- OK i`ve done that, no obvious manufacturer, but none of the boards are labelled Goodmans, further evidence that another party is involved.

I think the hack is going to be the same as another machine,

Jeff

Ok Matt again aka Lostboy.
Someone once told me that they thought it was maybe the same as an AIWA hack, I`ve tried all the AIWA hacks I know of but nothing! Anyone know any less obvious AIWA hacks they could try? Keep thhis thread active and I`nm sure we`ll crack it soon!

Yes!!! we can
after lots of button pressing
found code to be 9817
so try this
open drawer
9817
press enter till region 9
press return
my player now plays
region 1 and 2
only problem is the only region 1
dvd i have plays black and white
(it is deep blue sea)
so i dont know if other region 1 disks
will be ok or not
but region 2 are in colour ok

hope this helps everyone
but dont blame me if all goes pear shaped!!!!!

Cheers Josalka, it worked on mine BUT all my region 1 disks are black and white! But they are also black and white if I set it to just region 1 so I`m wondering if there is more to it than this? Thanks though, this is a massive step!

Has anyone tried this on the Grundig GDV620, as they seem to be the same thing? I will try it this evening and report.

Vic
