Page 1 of DMTECH - DML-4117WD - HACK - anyone got one ??

Hi there.

Just bought the above 17" widescreen LCD with built in DVD, very pleased with it so far.
I`ve tried to change the region to 0 by pressing 3 3 3 3 with the right cursor from the set up menu.
I can get the screen which states region 2 at the bottom but I can`t seem to change the region to 0 by using the buttons on the remote (ie. number 0 or right cursor).

Could anyone help please ??

Hi,
You have probably worked it out by now but just in case. the hack is as foxy has tried except that after pressing setup press right arrow three timesw until preferences is highlighted then press 3 3 3 3 and seperate secret menu appears with region codes 0 - 6 displyed use arrows to highlight 0 then press enter and exit setup.

1. Press DVD button on remote control
2. Press open button on remote control
3. Press setup button on remote control
4. Use the remote to select the tool symbol, this takes
you to the preferences page.
5. Press the 3 button on remote control
6. Press the 3 button on remote control
7. Press the 3 button on remote control
8. Press the 3 button on remote control
9. You should now be in a hidden menu where the currently
selected region is shown.
10. Press the right arrow button on remote control to
highlight the region.
11. Press the up or down arrow button to highlight the
region you want (0 for multi region)
12. Press enter to store your selection
13. Power off the DML4117 (you can use the remote for this)
14. Power on the DML4117 (with the remote if you wish)

It is now multi region (well mine now is) you can revert to
region 2 (or any other region) by following these steps again and selecting what region you want from the screen displayed in step 9.
