Page 1 of I need a confirmation on the Philips hack in US player

I just boght a Philips DVD711 from the local Circuit City and I have orderd a One for All 5 (URC-5650B00) as recomended by someone on this site. All I need to know is if I have made a mistake or if this will truely work. Thanx to all for the help.

If this remote has MAGIC or SETUP button, it will work. RC6 hack works on all models with firmware greater then 6.02. Just make sure there is no disk inside the player.

Quick Question.....
after executing such an upgarde does it matter iif you have a ful NTSC system when watching region 2 DVD`s ... in the USA which is region one or more important NTSC ?!?

You`ll need a TV which supports PAL. Philips players do not have PAL/NTSc convertors inside.
