Recording DVD onto VHS

the_godfather (Mostly Harmless) posted this on Wednesday, 7th February 2001, 10:01

If I want to record my DVD`s onto video (assuming I have MACROVISION disabled) will I need to connect my dvd player directly to the video or should I be able to leave it as it is, connected to the TV. I`ve tried to tune my video to the dvd player through the telly but the video can`t find it (or at least it doesn`t show up).

Am I tuning wrongly, or should the DVD be hooked directly to video?

Godfather.

it`s a lot easier to connect the DVD player directly - it is possible throguh the TV but there all all types of things that can happen that will stop it and it means that the TV HAS to be watching what you want to record.

Connect with Scart - Scart. Depending on what player you have you maybe able to copy all regions or only r2 - depends if your player outputs Pal 50 or Pal 60 (Pseudo Pal) - Even if Macrovision is disabled.

connect it to the vcr via scart and set the video to channel 0 (aux)
