BUSH DVD 2024

So the multiregion code is supposed to be open/2812/close, but is there actually a visual on screen guide that the code has worked. The idea of buying a R1 disc & inputting the code to find it hasn`t worked, does not appeal.

Can anyone advise 100% that it works and what on screen aid there is (if any)

Cheers

Are you sure you`re thinking of the right player? I`m certain that the Bush 2024 is multi-region out of the box - no hack is needed at all.

ok , its a novice question. But that`s the code quoted on this very site for the 2024. (its the 2023 code actually).

From what I`ve read it is supposed to be multi region straight away, but just want to make sure before I take the R1 plunge.

I tried to buy the BUSH 2023, but they had none left and gave me a 2024.

I`ll try to borrow a R1 disc first. Probably the best option .

Thanks

I think they`ve got the two mixed up (2023 and 2024).

Yeah, probably best to borrow a R1 disc first, if you`re unsure - but I`m 99% certain that it will be OK.

HI,
I would try a Region 1 DVD before messing with the player if I was you. Both me and my brother have tried to get a Bush DVD 2023, but it seems they are out of stock everywhere. I was sent an Alba 114 as a replacement. That was multi regional out of the box, so I was happy with that.
This week my brother was sent a Bush DVD 2025, and that too was multi regional; right out of the box. I had bought 2 R1 DVD`s cheap off ebay to check the machines. They played without any problems.

We`ve just received a DVD2025 instead of a DVD2023 from Littlewoods Index, it`s a gift for someone along with a Region 1 dvd we`ve bought them. What we need to know is that it`s definitely multi region, or we`ll have to send it back. Can you confirm this for sure? Did your brother get his from Index Extra also?

Let`s try to sort this out.

The Bush 2023 can be made multiregion with a simple hack (open tray, setup,2812, change region to 13, setup). This also works for the Alba 108 and Goodmans 134. I haven`t seen a Bush 2025 but the description on this forum sounds like a modified 2023 so worth trying the same hack.

Now the Bush 2024 is an entirely different machine. It is the same as the Alba 114 and a player marketed by Mitsubishi. These players should be multiregion out of the box.

I have just purchased a 2024 and although it plays R1 they only seem to be in B&W. Any ideas?????

You are outputting an NTSC (American television standard) signal from the R1 disc to a PAL (european television standard) TV. Its probably an older tv that can`t make the conversion. Look in the menu system of the player and change the output to PAL.

Papabendy, let us know how you get on with the above advice.
