Page 1 of Pioneer DV350......region hacks....any???

Just want to know if there are any region hacks available for pioneer DV350 player. In a moment of madness i bought it without checking it out to see if i required chipping or if it was remote hackable. Please make my day with a remote hack. If not, tell me who and where i need to go to get it chipped.

The new Pioneers (444, 454, 350 etc) can be made region free using an engineers disk which dealers hold. The usual cost is £20 - blackmail I know but until someone puts it on the web what can you do? I hope you didn`t buy from a chain store who will deny everything.

Good guess but your not right , the 350 is made all region with an upgrade remote that you can rent for around £40

The small white connector (9 pins?) at the far left on the back looks akin to some connectors on other players which connect to serial ports. Pinouts anyone?

Btw, got mine pre-multiregioned from hifibitz.co.uk (bit slow on delivery tbh) for £129, but I know avland.co.uk are doing them multiregion for £129 aswell now.

Perfectly possible... I did it using a Palm Pilot, OmniRemote and an IR codes file. Just go to vcdhelp.com ... It`s all explained.
