Cheap Car Insurance - Cover Note for New Driver

phillybabayaro (Competent) posted this on Sunday, 4th November 2007, 22:36

Ok, here`s the situatuion, I recently just turned 17 and am just a wee bit eager to get out on the roads, I`ve already got lessons booked but want very cheap, short term insurance so that I can practice more and get used to the roads as well as having lessons and I was just wondering if any of you guys could help? Anybody know a place that does cheap cover notes for new drivers, just like a months cover or something like that?

Cheers,
Phil

You just need to pop into a brokers like Swintons or something...they will have insurers that provide monthly cover. As long as they don`t mind the provisional licence you should be fine...bound to be expensive though.

why take life so seriously..its not like you are going to make it out alive

Why short term?....what car?.....whose car?....nah, don`t need to know I can smell the testosterone. A months cover...why? Take a deep breath, calm down & think about it more & then get a mortgage.....it`ll be cheaper!

Of course you could just have your course of lessons over a shorter (more intensive) period of time, pass your test sooner and then get full and proper insurance :-D

I always thought people just went and practiced in the parents cars in a car park or something - never heard anyone of them getting "short term insurance"!!

Mind you I never did that, driving lessons only for me :-(
