Loss of my dear old dad.

Choagy (Elite) posted this on Monday, 11th September 2006, 20:38

Good evening dear friends.

As many of the older members will possibly remember I lost my best "Wee Pal Jamie" on 12th Sept three years ago and now sadly I have lost my dear old dad.
Just when I was getting to the point of trying to enjoy my birthday, 11th September, we suffer the loss of my dad at lunchtime today.
Any way my dear friends, can I ask that if at all possible you spare a few moments and again, if possible, say a wee prayer for my dear departed dad Jimmy Steele.

God bless you dad, I love you and I always will . I am proud to have had a Dad like you and I can only hope you were as proud of me.

Goodnight dad, I love you "Auld Yin"

Ian

My condolences to you & your family mate on your sad loss.

I consider myself an optimist, albeit an optimist with cynical tendencies and a dark side that Lucifer himself would find a little creepy. (Perhaps you've noticed.) You don't normally associate cynicism with an upbeat pov. But I have exactly that combination and will defend it.

I`m so sorry to hear that mate.. :( and our thoughts are with you.

Thinking of you and your family....the loss of someone close feels almost unbearable to start with but life goes on ....then you`ll be able to reflect on all the good times without the pain. It`s a cliche but time is a great healer.

I`m raising a glass to him right now....

Choagy mate, I am so sorry to hear your news. There are never enough words to either explain how people are feeling, or indeed to try and make you feel better about things, but I know you know that whenever you need someone to offload onto, there`s this funny old internet forum where people you will probably never meet are now thinking of you and your family.

Hope you`re all looking after yourselves.
