I`m Going On Holiday!

MicoMan (Elite) posted this on Thursday, 18th August 2005, 22:03

Booked a flight only to Cyprus for £160 each as Mrs Parents live there! :)

Not had a flying holiday for a few years and am looking forward to it! :)

I`m posting more for advice on a few things ;)

1. Need some good sun cream as we burn even if we see the sun! Got some cheap crap but its like putting grease on! Need some advice on some good, non greasy, wont mark clothes stuff for under £10?

2. Car hire? Only for a few days but not sure if to book here or wait until I get there? Heard bad things about insurance with some firm there?

3. Thinking I would like to take a boat trip to Egypt but need some advice

Any advice or information appreciated :)

My parents insist on me using P20 usually costs about £9.95. Must be applied one and a half hours before going into sun. It only marks light tops but is brilliant stuff, perfect tan without burning but you`re looking for non-stainable. Just an idea incase you can`t find any non-stainable stuff.

Went there last year. Really enjoyed - nice people, nice country. The Boots Soltan stuff is usually praised(they also do the lotion specifically for the face) or the Nivea lotion, we use both. Not sure about car hire, though they do drive on the left like us(correct me if I`m wrong). Are u staying in the Greek or Turkish half? all holidays are in Greek(southern)half of the island. Definitely recommend boat trips along the coast though we didn`t do Egypt(time/money etc).

Noad suntan lotion from ASDA is great. They do a factor 40 for kids and the solar challenged which has done us well and lasts over a year.

It does not mark unless u swim in a tshirt which I did doh.....

I think it cost between £5 to £10 depends on the size u buy.

Hope u have a great time, do not forget a hat as it will be very hot this time of year.

mmm chocolate

Agree with phillybabayaro, you only need one coat of the stuff and it worked a treat when I went to Greece a couple of years ago (didn`t work as well in Egypt though, and had to stay covered up a bit).

Anyway, have a good time.
