Call ahead to your local store before you head over as they might be sold out already. I got the last one from the Cambridge Newmarket store this morning.

I think it`s a returned unit as it was out of the anti-static bag and the bits were missing (power supply, stand, firewire & usb cables). The manager had to go to the back of the store to find all the bits. The unit itself looks unmarked. Thoroughly giving it a scandisk and reformat now.

I just picked up the 300gb(£69.95) version and 2x 200gb version(£49.95) from my newcastle & sunderland stores, no more left there

and it looks like 2 of my drives are out???? but staples ahs to deal with it?

Managed to get on of these 400GB Seagates from Chester store. For some reason I thought the price was £79.99 without the voucher so when it scanned at £89.91 I mentioned others had got it for £79.99 so he price reduced it. I`ve only just got back and wanted to post thanks and noticed they should be £89.99. Whoops, not sure how I managed to blag £10 off just like that.

As of 1pm today there were 2 in Birkenhead store.

not fair, the 2 stores near me didnt have any 400gb, ohwell i did manage to get 2x 200gb & a 300gb

Strange about the warranty. I thought they`d have to honour 1 year manufaturer`s warranty from the date of purchase?

So far so good for me. Nothing untoward happened yet.
