The DVD player plays everything (DVD, DVD-, DVD-RW, VCD, SVCD, etc) Multi- region hack ( IN Hack section on this site!) but the best thing is a full 3-YEAR quarantee!!!!
Don`t buy any of the other `cheapies` which will last a few months, you will get a bargain, with a quarantee, from a PROPER retailer.
By the way I DO NOT work for ASDA, I just like their cakes.

Have just purchased one yesterday and am very pleased with it - except!!
I know you could say what do you expect for under £50 but all the reviews say that it will play Kodak Picture CDs. When I try it gives me a UNKNOWN DISC error. Do I need something else to do this?

Noseby, I use software called DVD Movie Copy and it allows me to transfer my photos to cd in vcd mode and plays brilliantly on my budget acoustic solutions player. So provided the Pacific plays vcds this may work. Btw I got a copy from the brother in law not sure where you can obtain this from but no doubt there will be some freeware available if you look around.

Thanks for the reply Goober. I have done a similar thing using a program called Proshow Gold which is very good. It allows you to produce VCD and SVCD discs, both of which work on the Pacific 1002. I just wanted to be lazy I suppose and use the disc as delivered back from the photo developer. I will have a look at DVD Movie Copy as well - again thanks for the info.

Hi mate it works in Nero aswell just select create a VCD then put your photos in and burn it, then it works fine. Tried it myself
