RE: Desperate! Hack needed for new LG DR175

Andy,

Sorry for taking so long to reply -

Thanks for the hack - I tried it and it works perfectly! I now have a wonderful region-free LG DR175 DVD-Recorder!

Happy New Year

Cheers,

John

RE: Desperate! Hack needed for new LG DR175

Sorry Smudge8181,

That is the hack that I describe in my original post - it doesn`t work!

I`ve tried various other LG hacks that are similiar with no success.

I think that LG have recently launched a new version of the DR175, maybe with different firmware, which is why the posted hack no longer works.

Still desperate!!

Cheers,

John

Desperate! Hack needed for new LG DR175

Hi,

Hope I`m not repeating this post too soon, but am getting desperate!

Purchased an LG DR175 DVD-Recorder (Region 2 - UK) beginning of November, and am looking for a region free hack.

Tried the one posted (Home on remote, setup, Highlight `Lock` icon and press `0` seven times), but it doesn`t work.

I`ve also tried some of the listed hacks for LG DVD`s that are similar to this one, but they don`t work either.

Any help would be much appreciated!

Cheers,

John

Alternate hack needed for LG DR175

Hi,

Purchased an LG DR175 DVD-Recorder last weekend, and am looking for a region free hack.

Tried the one posted (Home on remote, setup, Highlight `Lock` icon and press `0` seven times), but it doesn`t work.

I`ve also tried some of the listed hacks for LG DVD`s that are similar to this one, but they don`t work either.

Any help would be much appreciated!

Cheers,

John

edit - I don`t know if it is relevant, but it is a Region 2 (UK) native machine.
