Maplin Sale DVD recorder £99

Cannot find it on their web site but picked up a Maplin sale catologue today. DVD recorder designed to be hooked up to desktop/laptop for £99. Called a jumping jack or something like that. if anyone is interested I can find more details tomorrow ;-)

RE: Creative 30gig Zen Jukebox Xtra - MP3 Player - £126 inc VAT!! £81 off

Have dealt with Creative Support and they were excellent. My player bust- got from them, with no hassle, a new player (upgraded to better model) just under 2 years after original purchase.

Pixmania customer support is VERY pants, and they make it impossible to unsubcribe from their marketing

Sports bag £2.50 ar Argos

75% off

they also have Mario Kart Double Dash Gamecube for £15 which is teh cheapest i have seen

RE: Sainsbury`s 28inch Widescreen TV £159.99

Loads of these in Savacantre Hemstead Valley. Also this TV DOES come with a stand, which is available on its own for £29.99. The assistant brought one out for me with a stand and when I said I didn`t want it he told me they are free if bought with a TV. Sure enough on the till it came out for 0. I didn`t see a mention of this anywhere in the store so if buying one make sure you ask for a stand.

Also they had a DVD recorder for £99, sorry do not remember the make.

RE: Star Wars trilogy - £14.99

Check Strood and Brentwood, both had some yesterday

RE: Gamecube bundle for £32.99 - Virgin backs down!

Yep, got the mail. They seem to have stock and if you reply they will honour the order.

RE: The worst bargain ever PS2 bundles at Game

Watch out Jimbo, that Mark guy ordered a gamecube from tesco- he is therefore SCUM right??. Seeing as you want to dictate the morals on this forum you had better adopt an all or nothing approach other wise you could end up looking stupid ;-)

RE: Gamecube bundle for £32.99 - Virgin backs down!

I suggest anyone who is genuinely interested in the progress of the Tescos orders has a read of this thread

Fair do`s. I`ve made my point, so I`ll let you all get on with it,

The time for talking is over my friend. HMV or button it....

RE: Gamecube bundle for £32.99 - Virgin backs down!

Jimbo, maybe we should discuss this in person and leave the bargain hunters to it. I don`t think you would be so abusive and confrontational if you were in a room with with everyone else? So take some of your own medicine and like it, because you started off all this hassle. I have never seen anything like it before on this forum.

Tomorrow 1:30 HMV Oxford Street by the gamecubes- then lets see how much good your keyboard does you. I will be the one standing next to Nicky Campbell ;-)

you are a SAD GEEK, open your curtains come outside.

There, I said it.

RE: Gamecube bundle for £32.99 - Virgin backs down!

Lets keep this thread for those who ordered a gamecube and want to track progress since virgin & tesco change of heart. the original thread has already been hijacked- I imagine the reason this one was started was to get away from exactly that kind of pointless handbags.
Jimbo et al, why don`t you start your own thread "Isn`t everyone who ordered the gamecube evil" and save your sanctimonious bleatings for people who are interested.

RE: Gamecube bundle for £32.99 - Virgin backs down!

Virgin back down and Tescos come tumbling after them, thanks to Nicky Campbell etal.
Just been on watchdog, Tescos will find the gamecube (or try I think were the exact words) at the original price as a special christmas gesture of goodwill.
What does everyone think- email them to ensure we are on their "special" list, or wait to hear from them?

RE: Gamecube bundle for £32.99 - Virgin backs down!

FWIW Tesco have finally responded to my winges

I apologise that we were unable to fulfil your recent order.

This item was recently cancelled from our system due to a pricing
error, which has now been rectified.

I advise that any order placed on our website, is simply an offer from
a customer to buy goods from us. No actual contract exists until the
goods are despatched.

Therefore, we are not obliged to accept such an offer until this time,
and can decline to supply these goods without necessarily providing a
reason.

However, as soon as the goods leave the warehouse to be sent to the
customer, a contract is created, and we are then entitled to charge for
the order. This information is stated in our terms and conditions.

RE: Another mispriced woolworths bargain?

So not just a game on its own then ;-)

RE: Another mispriced woolworths bargain?

Is there anywhere we can find a defination of a "bundle", some sort of online dictionary, to aid with this evidence gathering?
