RE: Mustek LCD III Digital Camera, Cheap !?

Oh, another suggestion is the Oregon Scientific DS6338 / Eyecam (99 at Argos or ~80 at QED). Very slimline 2mp camera with LCD, Flash, mic, video out, SD slot. I tried one out in a shop and was very impressed. I cant give the exact dimensions but it was definately small and light (sub 150g). Only decided against this versus the Ixus i that I mentioned before, but obviously this is far the cheaper.

RE: Mustek LCD III Digital Camera, Cheap !?

I have the Gsmart Mini II (1.3mp) and I am not that impressed. I cannot focus on objects nearer than about 1.5 metres, and yes that`s on macro mode! Also the plastic lenses are slightly fuzzy at 1.3mp, the best resolution they seem to get is about 0.8mp. I`m pretty sure the lens system on the LCD III is the same but the sensor is upgraded, so there is a good chance it is going to be balls. Also the LCD III has no mic (I think) or flash (definately) and it looks naff (my opinion).

If you can make do with 1.3mp and without an LCD display I can recommend the BenQ DC1300. It is small, looks good, has a flash and mic and takes 90 second videos. Costs about £45 from Ebuyer. Personally I would either go for that and save a few quid, or go the whole hog and get a Canon Ixus i (absolutely amazing 4mp camera for ~£225).
