RE: places to buy Nintendo DS

My DS arrived this morning from Lik-Sang. I`m currently living in the South of France and with UPS delivery and 2 games cost me just under £160. The import charges came to 50 Euros (about £37).

Excellent machine.

Peace

James

RE: places to buy Nintendo DS

When I ordered my GBA SP way back when, I had charges on top that had to be paid on delivery.

I suspect the same will true this time around.

Peace

RE: Zelda : The Minish Cap on GBA

Yep, I agree totally.

I bought it for my 7 year old for Christmas. I`m just trying to finish it before then. I can only give it about an hour a day.

The big problem will be next week when my DS arrives. What do I play then?

Peace

RE: places to buy Nintendo DS

The problem that you are going to find is places that actually have them in stock.

My pre-order with Lik-Sang was made in early May, which was the day they started taking pre-orders. And they`ve pretty much admitted they`re not going to be able to cover them all. So they`re going out on a first come/first served basis.

Nintendo are meant to have provided 1 million units for the US launch and a million for the Japanese launch. However there have been around 2 million Japanese pre-orders.

Good luck and I hope you figure something out.

Peace

RE: switchblade romance

Saw it at a film festival at the beginning of the year. Excellent film, very gruesome but be warned that the conclusion does tend to polarise people.

Since I picked up the DVD, the repeat viewings have clarified the events that happen.

If you`re interested you can pick up the uncut DVD at ethaicd.com for about £4.60 delivered.

Peace

James

RE: Egg: LOTR :Two Towers EE

I`m not sure of the policy of posting suppliers name on the board.

M****T***

I`m sure you should get it from that.

RE: Is the Lord coming....?

There`s no audio problems on the R1 version. But I`m sure they will have sorted out any problems this time around.

RE: Egg: LOTR :Two Towers EE

Certain suppliers have been shipping since last Thursday. Mine arrived Saturday morning.

I had considered selling my soul to the dark lord but the online retailer option was slightly more appealing. :D

Egg: LOTR :Two Towers EE

This Easter Egg applies to the Region 1 of LOTR :Two Towers EE

On Disc 1 goto to scene selection and go to the last two chapters.

Press down twice until the hand turns into the ring at the bottom.

This accesses the MTV Movie Awards skit.

I had a look at disc two in case there was a ROTK teaser...but no luck.

RE: Is the Lord coming....?

Mine arrived this morning from MT. I`m just waiting for the wife to take the kids out so I can enjoy it in peace.

RE: Just received `The Two Towers`!!

And to think I only started this thread to let people know that the R1 release was being delivered. Only trying to do a favour guys!!

Just received `The Two Towers`!!

It arrived this morning ahead of a couple of discs that I`d ordered before it. Is anyone else experiencing problems with Movietymes shipping?

Anyway, as expected, the transfer is beautiful and flciking forward to the main battle all the details are clear. Now I have to wait for my wife to come home later to watch the whole thing.

The new clips from the Extended edition and `The Return of the King` look really good. They began to tease a look at Shelob but it didn`t transpire... shame.

I may post something a bit more detailed later after watching it in full

RE: Miracle Mile R1 - anyone know what original aspect ratio was?

Casting my mind back to a film festival in 1990. I`m pretty sure it was 1.85:1

Did you enjoy the movie? I loved it and thought it was a shame that more people didn`t hear about it.

RE: Pioneer DV-350 or Toshiba SD330?

Sorry, I didn`t get back to this quicker. A quick review of what I picked up yesterday.

Yes the box is marked multi-region and after setting it up I tried my, just received that day, R1 Shanghai Knights. Perfect.

Examined R2 Monsters Inc and it seemed like a different film compared to my old Sammy 709.

A friend lent me a DVD-R with something that sounded like Pay-Tricks Bee-Roaded (or something like that) and it played straight away with no fuss.

All in all a great machine and if you can`t get it from RS then order an Amazon one, for £80 you can`t argue.

And to think I nearly picked up a Pacific 1002 this week, although I`ve heard that`s a great player too.

RE: Pioneer DV-350 or Toshiba SD330?

Hi, I`m new member here but I`ve been visiting the forums for a while.

I`ve done exactly what you have here in Liverpool. And yes the Amazon phone systems are down. After an assistant explained that they may have to charge full price and I said that I`d just order it from Amazon the manager, after a bit of umming and ahhing, gave me the price beat price of £69.99.

It was the last machine in the shop too. I was half expecting not to be able to get the machine for whatever reason.

But try again.
