You can buy a special scart cable, which allows you to connect a VCR to DVD.
This disables macrovision.

Getting Rid Of MacroVision

I have just bought a special scart for my Toshiba 230e DVD player, so it can connect to my VCR, it gets rid of the Macrovision.

Just bought the Fuji A405, Fuji has made this camera only for the Dixons Group I found out on Fuji Website.

It does produce 4 million pixels, this camera is great value for money, it can produce very professional images. I am very familiar with Photography have a few manual SLR cameras.
The Fuji camera itself is easy to use though the video images are not so great, you can use as a web cam.

Manufacturer warranty is for a year, would recommend adding the 3 Years extra cover.


I highly recommend this camera, good buy.

HMV as always rip people off with those terrible SALES.
Don`t understand why people think they got a bargain, if you shop around at PLAY, CDWOW, CD101, Choices Direct and many others, you will find most cheaper than any HMV Sale.

And the stuff they do sell really cheap are usually cheap nasty stuff that don`t sell or faulty batch.

I think only Anoraks go to HMV Sales.

Faulty Toshiba DVD Player

I purchased a Toshiba SD230E Player from Digital-Point retailer on wednesday.
It arrived this morning (Friday), I switched it on and then tried it out with Pianist DVD - after about 2 minutes the player just died, no power no nothing and a burning smell from the player.

I phoned Toshiba helpline which is included with manual, and were very helpful and said they will send out a new player on tuesday...watch this space.

Would like to hear from anyone who has had problems with Toshiba DVD players.
