Help! Pioneer DV454 Problem

Just bought this player DVD`s work great
But VCD,SVCD the picture seems to turn to NTSC (Black & White)
When I turn the player off and back on it is still in the same mode
only way to get it back in colour is to insert a dvd

I have tried a S-Video Lead and a Scart lead
It seems to be somthing in the player itself that changes mode
But I cant find any settings to stop this
Any Ideas?

NEW Pioneer DV350 DV444 replacement???

Anybody got any info on this model ? Released this week is it the same as the DV353 being sold in the US

I hear it can do the same plus more as the 444
But I`m not sure if it has progressive scan and a DTS output

anyone???

I saw this player at a computer fair yesterday for £120, looks very similar to the Pioneer 444, has anyone got a review on this player or can share some details?

Just trying to purchase this at a decent price. The cheapest I can find it at the moment is £19.50 from dvd popcorn

Not to bothered about S.E 2 disc version just really want the cheapest price for the actual film?
