ive heard there is a collectors edition of first blood on the way can anyone tell me when R1 or R2, also are there any collectors, special, criterion editions of Big L and Kingpin on the horizon,

Finally sainsburys have them in stock, Ive heard there is new firmware(if thats the word?) in them is the performance as good as before, do they still play every kind of disk out there (including pirate disks), whats the code to make them multi-region, anyone know of an online review of this player?

Does anyone know whether this machine plays copied VCD`s & SVCD`s
I am thinking of swapping my pioneer 444 for one as it doesn`t play these disks,

also can anyone tell me where I can buy one from as sainsbury`s told me they werent having anymore in.

Pioneer DV-444 problems!!

can anyone help!!, I`ve just bought the dv-444(multi-region) but it wont
play copied VCD`s & SVCD`s, the display acknowledges that the disk is in and it spins but thats it, Is there something I`m not doin?

I may be being a bit thick here but I am about to buy the pioneer and was wondering how often these layer changes occur (does the disk keep pausing throughout the playing of it), if so how can you watch a film that pauses all the way through, I would be grateful for any info
on this problem.

Undecided First time buyer

I have been looking at the mico celo 80, tosh SD210 or Pioneer DV-444
which would be the best player to go for, also is it true I wont be able to watch region 1 dvd`s properly on a TV which isn`t NTSC
compatible I was going to buy the Philips 28PW6305,

can you advise me cheers
