I brought this due to all the hype it recieved from the press and I was waiting for the very scary parts to come on. They never. It is still a great film but just doesn`t live up to the hype. The special features on the other hand are brilliant and the story of the Blair Witch was interesting.

i never really appreciated the film when it was at the pictures but watching it on DVD changed my view (slightly) that it is not that bad after all. There is a very nice menu to the options which pans very quickly through the woods when you highlight an option. There is additional footage which was never seen in the film (not missing anything here) and the usual bits and bobs that go with any DVD. I would only recommend you watch this if you have heard as little about it as possible. ;o(

An absorbing film, and very well done within its limitations. I watched it alone and was starting to become very nervous when, unfortunately, technical problems manifested themselves.

Throughout the second half of the film I had severe pixellation and sound stuttering. Returning the disc to the shop, I tried a second copy, which did the same! Evidently there is some incompatibility between this disc and the Wharfedale 750 DVD player. I managed to get the player exchanged for the 750s model, which seems to have no problems.

To summarise: an atmospheric film that works well for what it is. The young characters evoke some sympathy (vital in this type of film), and the filmmakers are clever in utilising the limitations of a miniscule budget. The extras on the disc are quite generous too. Certainly not the best horror film ever made (`Carrie` gets my vote there), but worth seeing.

Blair Witch Project is a kick ass movie. I loved it, this is one of these films thats either a love it or hate it kind of thing. I loved it. the Extra`s on this are also excelent. The documentaries are really good, taken from TV specials they really add a lot to the films and the understanding of it.

    A+

We all know it was hyped by the time it reached the UK and expectations were high but this was still very disappointing.
I admired the fact that an indie film could do so well but the bottom line is the movie is awful. It looks like a home video. This was done to add authenticity and save money but a film should have some production standards.
For a supposed horror film, there are no scares at all. I`m sorry but my younger cousin saw it and was not moved one bit. The three actors were also irritating and attracted no sympathy.
    Overall, avoid this film.
