The opening scene was pretty bad but the rest of the episode was decent.

Rupert Friend is more like Hitman in this than he is in the recent film.

No wonder 24 failed to return, Homeland really shows how to do this kind of thing properly.

That said, I did start watching season 1 of 24 on Amazon Prime recently and it really was good to start with.

I know nothing about the series apart from it's mention on The News Quiz.
They hired some Arab Guys to paint up Graffiti and for those who can read it there's now 'Homeland is racist' and 'Don't worry they're only actors' visible in some episodes.

That's pretty funny. :) Although I do like the way Homeland tries to at least be a bit sympathetic to the reasons behind terrorism, unlike 24 that really does reduce it to "you killed my son so I declared war on your country"

Just watched episode 4, they are really upping the game this season.

I'm finding this season really hit and miss. Everything involving Allison is dynamite and Miranda Otto is knocking her role out of the park. Episode 9 was riveting stuff!

On the other hand, I'm bored of Carrie and Quinn's subplot is painfully contrived...

He just happened to fall in with a group of jihadists just as they're plotting a terrorist attack?

Just finished watching the finale, thought this was a great season.

SPOILER:
As for Quinn falling in with Jihadists being contrived, having spent season after season watching 24, it's practically real life in comparison!

Anyway, no more Quinn. :(

But I am now wondering, how can they come up with a plot for season 6? Carrie discovers a local terrorist cell operating out of her local kindergarten and has to go undercover to infiltrate it?
