Second race, Vettel wins for Ferrari, is this a one off or are we going to have an exciting three way championship this season?

Post Canada. FFS what a complete and utter waste of two hours. For the first time in 35 years of watching and recording on various formats I have now plumbed the depths and started to fast forward when a race is on. Utter bore fest now with essentially phuq all happening unless there is a crash. Back to BTCC for me I think

Very dull at the front yes, but Vettel had a few interesting moments, and there was Grojean's poor overtake. I don't know why they keep going on about fuel though, surely the only difference that would make is the Mercedes being even further in the lead?

Rob Other than Vettel ( Completely forgot that ) . The only thing that refuelling would do would alter teams strategy. They would merely run a computer simulation and come up with another strategy resulting in the same winner/winners.

You also forgot the ground hog! :)
I think the only thing that would make a big difference is making them all use the same engine, but that's a tough decision. If Renault or Honda were providing the engines then they wouldn't look as bad as they do atm.

RE: The Official Formula 1 Season 2015 Thread
When you see that Ferrari/ Mercedes /McLaren and Red Bull having a "Private" meeting everyone should worry. There are at least another two teams who are members of the "Steering Group" yet they were denied access or input at the meeting of the four "Giants" !!!. Ferrari and McLaren are huge teams with fantastic heritage and history whereas Red Bull have actually won fewer WCC and WDC than Williams so I can see why Williams and the others are concerned at the way the four are operating. Force India, Sauber , Williams and the others are in real danger of being swept aside in the naked pursuit of power by the four teams mentioned earlier. F1 is a bit like Scottish Football. A couple (Two) dictated the future and distribution of cash to the other teams in the leagues, much like Ferrari / Mercedes etc are doing now. The very real threat of , at the very least, three car teams looms ever closer and that will be it dead to me. Privateers built and created the sport now the new kids on the block want to grab everything they can get their grubby hands on.

So quite a dull season, though at least some of the other teams started to catch up with Mercedes.
Next year, looks like the Beeb are going to bow out of coverage and try to get ITV to take it over:

No doubt as a result of the Tories endlessly hacking away at their spending.
I hope they cut Cricket coverage next, be interesting to see how many MPs suddenly care then.
