I wonder, now they can't use
'Arsenal haven't won a trophy for....' and
'Arsenal haven't beaten a top side for...'
what they'll drag out of the stats cupboard next

Lovely little quote from Santi on that free kick in the final.
Sourced from Arseblog. That font of all good things Arsenal and bloggy.

Quote:
“Of course I can still remember the free- kick. Before the match, the boss had told us that their goalkeeper always took a step towards the wall when facing free-kicks, so we’d have a good chance of scoring on the other side. So when I got the free-kick, I saw that side was open and figured I’d trust in the boss! Luckily, their goalkeeper did take a step to the side, so when he reacted he didn’t have time to save it.”

http://www.telegraph.co.uk/sport/football/teams/arsenal/11362392/Arsenal-news-Abou-Diaby-looks-to-have-played-last-game-for-club.html

Quote:
Asked this morning how the France midfielder was progressing in his latest rehabilitation, Wenger said: “At the moment he is not in a position where he will be able to play soon because he is not on the field at all.”

Diaby has played only 16 league games during the past four seasons amid a whole catalogue of different injuries and Wenger sounded downbeat today about his chances of returning in the foreseeable future. Diaby is out of contract this summer and, asked about the situation, Wenger said: “I will have a decision to make about his contract.”

Sorry for Diaby, not sorry for Arsenal.

Agreed.
I doubt there's a manager in Europe who would have shown the amount of faith Wenger has put in Diaby.

I little rumour that Van Ghastly up in Manc land is trying to hijack the Paulinho deal.

Arsenal sign Villareal defender Gabriel Paulista, Chelsea's Costa charged with stamping and may miss City's game (if Chelsea don't appeal, lets face it, they'll appeal). A good day. :)

Finally, we have three centre-backs!

Seriously 1/20.
Is Bouldy auditioning for a west end chorus line?

Easy win, some great goals, Ospina definitely the new #1, Ozil back to top form already, what's not to like!!!

Yet another win where they play like the old days. Starting to think we could reach the CL final and maybe give Chelsea and City a bit of a scare come seasons end.

A thought keeps crossing my mind of winning the CL final but finishing fifth.
Behind Tottenham.

That was a thoroughly enjoyable watch. Fantastic signing that young Coquelin where did we find him? Maybe we should look down the back of the sofa more often.
Nice to hear the little MOTD interview with our Frockney full back, another hidden gem thats polished up rather well.

Is this a case of playing with a Coq and a bell end improving Arsenes sight rather than damaging it?

Could so easily have been 8 or 9 but I'll settle for a scrappy 1.0 next weekend.

Signed up to Ladbrokes, put £10 in, placed £5 on Arsenal to beat Spurs on Saturday, the free matched bet £5 on QPR to beat Southampton, and £5 on Arsenal to win the league.

I fully expect to be £1 up on the deal by Sunday.
