The Official Formula 1 Season 2012 Thread

Figured we should have a proper official thread for this.

Thought today`s melbourne race was an exciting start and finish, but pretty dull in between bar the odd moment. Nice to see someone new win though. :)

Now that it`s not being shown live on the BBC I`m losing interest fast :(
I wanted to watch the race and enjoy it, but I`d already been `told` (i.e. seen on the news and facebook) who won and what happened so I just couldn`t be arsed to watch the highlights on BBC one.

I don`t want Sky...I don`t watch enough live TV to warrant it and I don`t want another box under the TV either. But it seems like they`re buying up everything leaving people little choice.

And your nominations for No 7 are.....................  Hmmm Lewis is getting a bit desperate isn`t he and MSC is asking the right questions judging by his performance in Monaco.  Who would have guessed it ey !

An exciting season, I thought Monaco nearly became a classic when it started raining, but then it stopped. :/ Also a shame to see Schumacher retire from yet another race, he`s had such bad luck this season when clearly driving wise he`s regained a lot of his form.

Forgot to say, Sky only have half of the races, the other half are live on the BBC. Monaco was for example.

Surely we can`t go 7 races with different winners? :)

Who is MSC? :/ Showing my ignorance here.

Much like last season, every race Hamilton`s car isn`t fast enough, how much of that is down to McClaren and how much down to Hamilton and his team not getting a fast enough set up. In qualifying they can manage it but the moment the race comes they always seem to get it wrong.

McClaren seem to be going backwards

Can`t see where Hamilton would go if he left  McClaren as Ferrari and Red Bull top drivers certainly wouldn`t want competition from him.

MSC stands for Michael Schumacher

Ah I misread MSC as you saying that person was asking the right questions of Hamilton`s performance, now if you`d said MSc or just MS, or just... I`ll stop.

Seems Hamilton is fastest in practise.  I know this isn`t the litmus test but who knows.  Haven`t heard much intel (insert flash b*****d smiley tag) about this race so far so not sure how the separate teams are coping.  I`ve worked out the race is starting at 7...............I finish work.....stop press!!! just seen Scezeny being sent off on MOTD highlights......anyway, finish work at 6 so think I`ll be able to watch start of race

And we have a seventh different winner in 7 races.  I understand the 2-stop strategy of McLaren/Lewis Hamilton was the winning formula here.  Well done Lewis.  Apparently Jenson went backwards .  I`m pretty sure we wont have an eighth different winner next time.

Heh, 8 different winners would be insane, but who knows. Exciting end to the race I thought, nice to see Hamilton chasing at the end there. Really feel sorry for Schumacher, he`s like a lightning rod for bad luck atm. :/

Karma for the luck he had in the past

Well done Lewis should shut up your critics for a while

Button`s form is worrying
