Great game, well I thought so anyway mate.

Really think your team did themselves proud. A couple of mistakes against, say us, Falkirk and you would have got away with them but with Barcelona they are usually punished ruthlessly.

Nonetheless a great game and well done and hard lines mate :)

I look forward to the next game and hope for the best.

Good result despite the scoreline, I think. Only watched the last quarter of an hour or so, just prior to the last goal and I thought that some of the Barca passing was sublime.

Go that way, really fast. If something gets in your way, turn...

And those who dance will spin and turn,
And those who wait will wait no more,
And those who talk will hear the words,
And those who see will fade and die,
And those who laugh will surely fall,
And those who know will always feel their backs against the thin wall...

We gave it our best shot, was worried about the right back position and proved rightly so :( Barca tho are quite simply an exceptional side and the last ones we would have wanted (maybe Arsenal too), we wont be the last to lose to these guys in the CL although game aint over yet ;)

Only need to get 2 at the Nou Camp. :/

Although stranger things have happened and they could get over confident for the return leg thinking that`s it over already.

Was just looking on the Barca website to see what their defensive record was at the Nou Camp because I thought they`d shipped a few goals to the lower leagues in La Liga in a few 2-2`s. Apparently I was wrong though and they`ve got a really good record there :¦

but did see this that you`ve probably like on their main page (well not like, but in the context of things)

Barcelona produced their best performace of the season to give them a first leg lead against Celtic. Lionel Messi scored twice and Thierry Henry scored a stunning strike to steer the Blaugrana to victory in Scotland.

I didnt see the game but from what I heard on radio and setanta news you put up a good performance (although it sounded like one your goals was a little fortunate - some bizarre looping header that dropped over a keeper or something, could be wrong - like i say its how it was reported by a third party)

I think though this shows what we mean about moving to the EPL with better competition, you have to be on your metal for 90 minutes of every game. Stronger oppo does not allow you to get away with as much and its therefore less easier to record victories.

Anyhow, will be interesting to see what happens in second leg. I think you have to assume Barca will score so you boys need to get at least three.
At least you dont have to be in two minds over tactics, just walk at the Camp Nou and go all guns a blazing :-D

Best of luck to ya!!!

Obviously yes but dont u think Barca are head and shoulders abvove most sides in the epl? personally I think they have strongest squad going currently (Eto couldnt get a game lol)

Eto had an injury which is why he hasnt played in the last few games since coming back from the ACN.

Yes they are better than most of the teams in the EPL, but you could not out in performance like that every week either, in fact it would be the exception rather than the norm.

Offensively yes pretty much all , defensively only possibly and as rvshah points out your lot will not perform to as a high a level as they did last night over the 38 games of a league season so an EPL team doesnt need to be a barca to present you with a bigger problem.

Anyhow, i guess we`re sliding off track. At least you are still "in" the tie, a 4 - 0 drubbing would have left you with a pretty pointless 2nd leg
