Yes, the company that was probably the worst for expensive ink cartridges, which reported being empty usually when the capacity was still around 30%, has actually decided that throwing all those things away isn't very eco friendly.

The Epson L355 and L555 printers use high-capacity ink tanks instead of cartridges, which are refilled with squeezy ink bottles. The tanks have the capacity to print around 4,000 black and white pages and 6,500 in colour; lasting a typical user around two years.
Each 70ml bottle of black, cyan, magenta and yellow ink costs £7.99, totalling £31.96 for all four. Meanwhile, an average ink cartridge costs around £30 for approx. 15ml worth of ink.

Finally realised that nobody buys Epson inks while there are third party suppliers for a fraction of the price.

I used to be with it, but then they changed what `it` was.
Now, what I`m with isn`t it, and what`s `it` seems weird and scary
I've had about 10 Epson printer's but never once bought Epson ink cartridges because of the ridiculous cost of replacements. There was even one that was cheaper to buy a new printer which came with a full set of inks, than buy the refills.
I had an external third party ink tank which I got on eBay which looks exactly like the tank on that new model, so the idea is nothing new.
I'll wait and see a few reviews before buying, but I might be interested in that printer.
