Well, about 1am tomorrow our time. That said, I downloaded Opera 9 today and it looks quite smart.

Says no updates here, and still not on 2.

I played with a beta version a bit seemed good, was stable, a few extensiosn weren`t compatable yet, bt the tabs one i use didn`t need to be `cos all the functionality was in built in Firefox 2.

Played with IE7 a bit to, hasn`t changed enough to make me switch back!

Ohh it`s got tabs, oh great they`re not as useful/flexable as Firefox`s.

ooh, you can get extensions, oh great there`s not any useful ones

release was about 5pm on the main site which given that the US are 5 ours behind works out at 10 pm.
Some folks have lost all their bookmarks so make a backup and then copy that elsewhere as someone said the backup was corrupted too though not sure how

It didn`t come through the updates in FF itself so had to download it separately.
Works fine, with Bookmarks intact, but some extensions (now just called Add Ons) won`t work until they have updates.
A crime against nature not to have my extensions. :/

That usually happens with the updates to be honest. Spell checking doesn`t appear to be working for me though...

Tell a lie, you have to re-install the dictionary as the ones used with Spellbound etc. don`t work.

I have read the reviews of beta, and there is no real point in upgrading in my opinion.

Downloaded and installed Firefox 2 on my work pc now.

Just put it over the top of1. whatever it was, no problems at all.

2 extensions don`t work, tab browser, but as I said before all the stuff I used there is built in

and the other for sorting search engines, but that is built in now anyway.

haven`t played with other new features, but thought it good it insatlled over the top with no probs :)

Just put this on my work pc. Thought i would get the Ad on that lets you save ya bookmarks. Its a f***ing pain. How do i get rid of it?

EDIT: Sorted it (well I uninstalled it)

Anyone got any advice on which adons are good/bad and what they think is worth having? Also I know there is one that lets you save youtube vids but after a search I found loads. Which one is the most stable?

Thanks in advance.
