Samsung stops making 4k machines

RJS (undefined) posted this on Sunday, 17th February 2019, 09:32

I am going to heavily mourn the death of physical media, whilst simultaneously being angry at an industry that caused it by keeping prices high, and not focusing on the user experience.

Resigned to the fact physical media is dead, hence the big clearout - though vinyl did come back - so you never know.

Yeah it's a shame. I prefer physical media like all old duffers but future generations won't have that link to the past and won't care.

Interestingly physical books are selling more as ebooks have declined. Ultimately though, I'm sure they'll go too.

I like DVD and never moved on to Blueray due to cost.
Think a lot of people felt the same way at the time.

Even with cheaper DVD I still wait many months till the dear launch price goes down. For example can now get Solo -star wars for a fiver, which i have been waiting to get. I am such a cheapskate
