Page 1 of Samsung 511 Region Hack - Safe?

I have a Samsung 511 but am a bit sceptical about the region/macro hack going wrong and locking my system.

Is there a chance this will happen and if so how do I get around the problem or reset to the default factory settings?

It won`t, but if you need to reset it use the instructions in the manual (holding down play and pause together for a few seconds?)

And don`t try using chevrons (right and left arrows) to quote the original, as I just did, as half of the response gets lost!

help what is the hack for the 511?

I have tried this hack a dozen times but it doesn`t work for me. The 02 code doesn`t appear after pressing 3,8,7,6,7. Yes it`s a region 2 player.
Please help this is driving me nuts. Multi region support is 1 of the reasons I bought the Samsung DVD-511 in the 1st place.

The most common problem is pressing the REPEAT A-B button instead of just the REPEAT.

trust me im a female single parent & this works, i wouldnt waste my money if it didn`t, 511 is a diamond & ive had no probs on any dvds YET!
