Not My Style is an app that tells you how much your favourite fashion brands share about the women and men who make your clothes. We aim to give shoppers what they want, and garment factory workers what they deserve.

There was that experiment recently where a vending machine offered a super cheap t-shirt, once you watch a short film, mosy ppl didn't buy the shirt when they saw the film showing sweatshops etc.

I think it was Alternative Tentacles who announced recently they'd use USA based factories using union workshops for their t-shirts, they hoped that fans would understand the $5 increase, and that they'd also hopefully get a better quality t-shirt

I guess most of choose to be ignorant of this, especially as it's hard to know who the good guys are, if there are any, but then there's the matter of price and availability :(

There was a "fair trade" shop near me, it closed down, probably 'cos it was expensive and the clothes were hideous :(

Yeah. :( I don't buy clothes from the really low end (like Matalan) because they were so cheaply made they didn't last long.

But it would be nice to know (maybe the law should make them display it like how foods show their salt/suger/fat content?) about the high street labels I do buy.
